Meteorites are space rocks from asteroids or comets that rarely survive their fiery fall through Earth’s atmosphere. With much of the planet covered in ocean,
and many blending in like ordinary stones, their arrival often goes unnoticed. For this reason, meteorites have come to symbolize a rare, serendipitous encounter.
One day, fragments of thought surfaced in my mind for no particular reason. It had no clear direction, but it kept my hands working. That fragment became the source of inspiration.
For me, the meteorite became a metaphor for that internal spark, and this sculpture gives it form.
Just as meteorites blaze through the sky to become shooting stars, my scattered thoughts occasionally ignite and materialize into work.
This piece is a crystallized form of such a moment, a condensed mass holding a shard of something deeply internal. The title follows a meteorite naming convention, but with my own twist.
The alphabet in the title represents my initials, the numbers mark the year I began working with stars, and the final sequence is a unique personal signature.
In keeping with the meteorite metaphor, this form may be the most personal fragment ever to have entered my universe.
