I’ve always felt more comfortable starting on something already a bit messy with history or movement. I rarely plan in detail, instead, I let the process guide me.
That mindset led me to watercolor, a medium perfect for spontaneity and flow. These two works came from that impulse.
They’re made with intuitive, unplanned strokes that follow the natural spread and transparency of watercolor.

While painting, a vivid, emotion: filled memory not tied to a specific event but to a clear feeling suddenly emerged. That became the basis for the first piece, <Flashback>.
I tried to preserve that sensation with soft, transparent colors to match the freshness of that moment.

<Tilting raspberries in a teacup> began from a memory of a pink sunset and the imagined scent of warm raspberries.
Using pink as a base, I imagined small blue stars scattered across that gentle sky and let the image build from there.

Neither piece took long to make, and that immediacy gave them a sense of lightness. They’re not about form or structure; they’re about emotion, sensation, and fleeting memories, captured without hesitation.
